Marc Van Acker was a partner of Condominium NV in Belgium until 2017, where the company delivered more than 2,000 residential units across the Antwerp region and Ghent. Since relocating to the Costa del Sol, his work through Five Star Group has centred on hotel, villa and masterplan development in and around Marbella.

Full transformation of a disused canning factory into a mixed-use destination combining residential, retail and logistics — 126 apartments alongside a 15,000 m² shopping centre and 25,000 m² of warehousing.
A residential ensemble of four buildings set in the former garden of the Boechout town hall. The sensitivity of the site and the quality of the architecture earned the project several awards.
A 130-apartment residential development on the former McDonald's plot in Herentals, one of the largest residential schemes delivered by the company in the province.
A distinctly contemporary scheme of 80 apartments in the centre of Vremde, built on the site of a former laundry works. Designed with Stijn Peeters Architect.
One of the most singular projects in the portfolio: the restoration of a historic castle, complemented by 42 newly built apartments alongside it.

Hotel, masterplan and villa development on the Costa del Sol — completed, consented and in progress.
Masterplan · In planning
The largest development currently in planning in Marbella. Begun in 2018 as the masterplan for an entirely new sector adjoining Los Monteros, it comprises a 300-key five-star hotel, 42 villas and 132 apartments. Provisional approval was obtained on 11 January 2023, with final approval expected in summer 2026. Delivered under a project management agreement with Meriditas of Bahrain.
Hotel · Concept & licence
Commissioned by Senator, the conversion of two dated three-star hotels into a single five-star beachfront resort in Elviria. The full concept and planning were developed in-house and the licence was secured in 2022. Senator subsequently elected to sell the consented scheme rather than build it.
Individual villas
A continuing programme of individual villa renovations and new builds across the Marbella area, delivered with Hydromaster and PRORENO as construction partners and marketed through Engel & Völkers, L-Property and Nordica.
Part three
Three residential schemes currently in build on the Costa del Sol — 49 homes in total, delivered with Bilba as construction partner.
Villas · Under construction
A large single plot subdivided into fourteen individual plots, each developed as a detached villa. Groundworks are underway, with Bilba appointed for construction.
Townhouses · Under construction
Twenty-three attached houses of distinctive design, each with its own private pool and supported by extensive shared amenities. Groundworks have started with Bilba appointed for the full construction.
Villas · Under construction
A development of twelve compact single-family villas.
